According to the document, by 2050, the construction of 24,804 thousand square meters of new housing is planned in Bishkek, which will increase the total housing stock of the city to 42,240.9 thousand square meters. The largest amount of construction work is expected in the Leninsky and Oktyabrsky districts due to the implementation of previously approved projects.
The master plan envisions the following structure of new housing:
- individual construction — 7 million 90.4 thousand sq. m (28.6%);
- low-rise housing — 2,487.2 thousand sq. m (10%);
- mid-rise housing — 2,833.6 thousand sq. m (11.4%);
- high-rise construction — 12,392.7 thousand sq. m (50%).
The housing construction development plan takes into account the projected population growth of the capital to 1 million 920 thousand people by 2050 and the need to improve living conditions for residents.
