Deputies noted that the funds from the tariff increase will be directed towards the modernization of the water supply system, including the installation of new pipes and meters.
Currently, 1 cubic meter of drinking water costs 12 som 90 tyiyn, while the cost of wastewater is 8 som 60 tyiyn. After the tariff changes, these figures will rise to 15 som 48 tyiyn and 10 som 32 tyiyn, respectively.
Almost all private houses in the city are already equipped with water meters, while in apartment buildings of 4–5 stories, meters have not yet been installed, and charges are calculated based on a norm of 133 som per person. This year, it is planned to complete the installation of water meters in all 230 apartment buildings.
- “Manas Vodokanal” serves more than 36,000 subscribers and uses 65 wells to supply water from a depth of 140–160 meters. The annual budget of the company is about 190 million som.
