In the city of Manas, located in the Jalal-Abad region, the construction of a municipal impound lot has begun, as well as the procurement of two tow trucks for the evacuation of improperly parked vehicles.
This information was announced at the extraordinary XXI session of the city council of deputies of the X convocation.
During the discussion, the deputies noted that with the introduction of the impound lot, vehicles left in places where parking is prohibited will be moved to the new lot. The installed tow trucks will assist in the evacuation of such cars, which should help improve order in the city and increase local budget revenues. Approval from the city council is required to start operations.
First Deputy Mayor Kubanych Imanaliev reported that a plot of land measuring 30 acres has been allocated for the impound lot on the territory of the municipal car market, where the necessary preparatory work has already been carried out. The tow trucks were acquired through leasing.
“Evacuation operations will be carried out through the Department of Utilities. To prevent misunderstandings, we are bringing this issue to your discussion. The work will be organized in accordance with the regulations approved by the city council. Our goal is to eliminate the disorder caused by parking violations and increase budget revenues. Evacuated vehicles will be placed in the municipal impound lot, which will ensure additional income for the city treasury. For example, the fee for the evacuation of one vehicle will be 1600 soms. The rate for motorcycles in the lot is set at 9 soms per hour, while for cars it is 21 soms. These rates are established at the level of the entire republic. Previously, these services were provided by private companies, but now we aim for the funds to go to the state budget. Private companies can continue their activities,” he emphasized.
Imanaliev also added that the municipal impound lot will start functioning in January 2026.
