Dayirbek Orunbekov, head of the information policy service of the presidential administration, announced impressive financial results for the Kumtor mine for the year 2025.
According to Orunbekov, the company's revenue amounted to over 124 billion 216 million soms, and the total gold production will reach 12 tons. All funds received will be directed to the country's budget and used for the benefit of the citizens.
He also reminded that during the period of management by a foreign company, more than 410 tons of gold were extracted from Kyrgyzstan, not including silver and other precious metals. Over 29 years of operation, the country received only 101 million dollars in dividends.
“This year, dividends amounted to 150 million dollars, and the total revenue of the company exceeded 1 billion 420 million dollars,” he emphasized.
Orunbekov added that the current achievements are the result of many years of work by President Sadyr Japarov, who for many years fought to bring Kumtor back under state control, overcoming serious difficulties.
