By the end of 2025, the revenues of the Kumtor company amounted to over 124 billion 216 million soms, and the gold production volume by the end of the year is expected to reach 12 tons. This was stated by Dairbek Orunbekov, head of the information policy service of the President's Administration of Kyrgyzstan.
Orunbekov noted that all revenues generated from Kumtor's activities are directed to the state budget to meet the needs of the country and the interests of its citizens.
He also reminded that over the 29 years when the mine was managed by a foreign company, more than 410 tons of gold were extracted, not including silver and other precious metals.
“Over all these years, Kyrgyzstan received only $101 million in dividends. In comparison, in 2025, the dividend income from Kumtor amounted to $150 million,” he emphasized. The total income of the company in dollar equivalent for the year exceeded $1 billion 420 million. The head of the information policy service emphasized that such results became possible due to the transfer of Kumtor under state control, adding that natural resources should be used in the interests of the people.
He also linked the achieved successes to the long-standing position of President Sadyr Japarov, who has insisted for many years on the return of Kumtor to state ownership.
