Daiyrbek Orunbekov, head of the information policy service under the President of Kyrgyzstan, reported on his recent ascent to the summit of Uchitel, where he replaced the torn state flag of the country with a new one.
The reason for his trip was information about the damaged flag at an altitude of 4,530 meters above sea level, which appeared on the internet. Orunbekov decided that it was necessary to personally install a new flag.
He noted that the path to the summit was not easy: the route was long and difficult to traverse, with steep ascents, strong winds, and cold temperatures. Typically, such an ascent takes two days with an overnight stay in the Ratzek area, but Orunbekov decided to try to complete it in one day. Despite all the difficulties, he managed not only to update the flag but also to descend safely back.
