Among women in Olympic sports, the top position was taken by Aiperi Medet kyzy, who became the only representative of Kyrgyzstan to finish the year at the top of the world ranking of United World Wrestling (UWW).
At just 26 years old, Aiperi participated in five tournaments, winning five medals as a result. She triumphed at the Asian Championship in Jordan and at the Islamic Games in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the athlete won silver medals at the World Championship in Serbia and at the ranking tournament in Albania, as well as bronze at the international tournament in Hungary.
Other contenders for this award included Meerim Jumaanazanova and Gulnur Tashtanbekova (wrestling), Ainuska Kalil kyzy (athletics), and Angelina Blindul (triathlon).
