In Bishkek, at the "Dialogue" House of Culture, the contest "Best Grandfather" and "Best Grandmother" took place, aimed at promoting family values and preserving Kyrgyz traditions. This became known on December 26 thanks to the press service of the capital's mayoralty.
This event was organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, as well as Tourism and Youth Affairs of the Bishkek mayoralty. The contest featured 10 participants, including 5 grandfathers and 5 grandmothers.
The contestants presented various handicrafts, embroidered works, and panels with traditional Kyrgyz ornaments. In addition, the participants showcased their talents through folk songs, dances, and musical pieces performed on national instruments.
As a result, all participants were awarded commemorative medals "Best Grandfather" and "Best Grandmother."
