In Bishkek, at the city House of Culture "Dialogue", a competition called "Best Grandfather" and "Best Grandmother" took place, aimed at preserving family traditions and values.
The event was organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, as well as the Department of Tourism and Youth Policy of the capital's mayor's office.
Ten people participated in the competition, with an equal number of grandmothers and grandfathers. The participants showed their respect for Kyrgyz traditions and demonstrated their creative talents.
During the celebration, various embroidered products, folk crafts, and panels with Kyrgyz ornaments were presented, highlighting the richness of cultural heritage and the continuity of generations. Participants also performed folk songs, danced, and played traditional instruments.
At the end of the competition, all participants received medals for "Best Grandfather" and "Best Grandmother."
