Three climbers died while climbing Mount 'Lokomotiv' in Kazakhstan
In Kazakhstan, during the ascent of Mount 'Lokomotiv', a tragedy occurred resulting in the deaths of three climbers. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the service, a woman contacted the emergency department, reporting that her brother and two friends had gone into the mountains and had lost communication. To search for the climbers, 80 people were mobilized, along with 12 units of equipment, four canine teams, and four drones. The search was complicated by adverse weather conditions and the risk of avalanches.

At an altitude of 3700 meters, rescuers found the body of one of the climbers. A few hours later, two more deceased were found in the same area. The bodies were brought down and handed over to the police. A forensic examination is underway to determine the cause of death. It is not specified to which country the climbers belonged.

The search and rescue operations have been completed. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reminds of the importance of adhering to safety measures when going into the mountains. Before setting out on a route, it is necessary to consider weather conditions and the likelihood of avalanches, avoid solo outings, inform loved ones about the route and expected return time, and carry communication devices and necessary equipment.
