According to the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the volume of foreign direct investment in the first half of 2025 amounted to $562.7 million. In comparison, in the same period of 2024, this figure was $462.2 million. This means that the volume of investments increased by 21.7% compared to the first half of last year. This was reported by Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Agency for Investment Promotion, at a press conference.

The main sources of investment were China with investments of $166 million, accounting for 23.6% of the total volume, Russia with $106 million, and Turkey with $96 million.

In 2025, $377.2 million came from non-CIS countries, indicating a high interest from international investors and a stabilization of investment activity in the country.

As of September 2025, the National Agency oversees more than 15 investment projects, with a total amount of declared investments exceeding $5.9 billion. This represents an increase compared to last year's $5.25 billion, which is a 12.4% rise. The project portfolio has been supplemented with new initiatives in areas such as information technology, tourism, and renewable energy, and has also expanded to new regions.

According to Sabirov, this year the Agency has conducted more than 30 events aimed at attracting and supporting foreign investments. Among them are 16 international and bilateral business forums, which were attended by representatives of domestic businesses, international organizations, diplomatic missions, and the foreign business community.

In addition, more than 500 meetings with investors from various countries were organized, where the prospects of projects in sectors such as energy, industry, logistics, digital technologies, tourism, and agriculture were discussed.
