The international forum Meet Global MICE Congress (MGMC), held on December 17-18, gathered over 2500 participants, nearly double the figures from last year and six times compared to the first congress. This event confirmed Moscow's high status as a center for business tourism, attracting professionals from 37 countries of BRICS and the Global South.

Congress Participants

The forum brought together more than two and a half thousand representatives from the industry, including corporate clients, associations, and event organizers. Notably, about 70% of the participants held leadership positions, which facilitated the establishment of new partnerships during the event.

Among the guests of the congress were notable figures such as Tushar Kesharwani from the Indian Bureau for Congress Promotion, Marcus Lee from China Travel Online, and Rukaya Kassim from Visit Qatar. Delegates from Egypt, Jordan, the Maldives, Nepal, Tanzania, and Uzbekistan were also present.
Within the exhibition area, over 8000 business meetings took place, aimed at establishing new contacts and signing future contracts.

Two Days of an Intensive Program

Participants were offered 15 business sessions covering topics such as "Conferences and Exhibitions," "Global Trends," and "Business and Technology." The main theme of MGMC-2025 – "Unity through Open Diversity: New Opportunities for Global Growth" – was discussed in plenary sessions and panel discussions.

Speakers raised issues regarding the impact of personalization, gamification, and the role of artificial intelligence in the MICE industry. The effect of mega-events and the formation of successful business destinations were also discussed.
Business Exhibition

At MGMC-2025, more than 130 exhibitors from BRICS countries and the Global South showcased their opportunities. Representatives from MICE operators, transportation companies, and the hospitality industry sought to enhance their visibility in growing markets. Special attention was given to booths featuring the "Made in Moscow" and "Moscow Tea Party" projects.

Key participants in the Hosted Buyers program included delegates from the Middle East, India, and China, totaling 200 individuals who came to discuss hosting events and discover Moscow as a business and cultural entertainment destination.

The first Meet Global MICE Congress took place in Moscow in the fall of 2023, becoming the largest international event in the field of business tourism in Russia. In December of the previous year, the forum, organized under the auspices of BRICS Edition, gathered over 1300 participants discussing "Global Challenges and Trends in the MICE Industry."
The Moscow Tourism Committee is actively working to establish a sustainable image of the capital as a key tourist destination both in Russia and on the international stage. The most numerous visitors to Moscow are citizens of China, India, as well as from the CIS countries and the Middle East. To strengthen international ties, the city conducts business missions and participates in exhibitions, showcasing the tourism potential of the capital.
