The economic situation in Kyrgyzstan shows a noticeable growth in nominal indicators; however, the issue of inflation remains relevant. This was stated by Askar Sydykov, Executive Director of the International Business Council, in an interview on the radio.
Sydykov reported that by the end of the year, economic growth is over 10%, while the government forecasts it at around 11%.
He emphasized that although these figures look impressive, it is important to consider that they are nominal. The real growth of the economy is lower due to the impact of inflation.
According to Sydykov, the rise in prices affects both the population and the business sector. Entrepreneurs are facing increased costs for goods, equipment, and imported products, which in turn forces them to raise prices for their goods and services.
In Sydykov's opinion, inflation remains one of the main problems in the country's economy by the end of the current year.
