- In his address to the believers, the mufti emphasized that the sharp rise in prices of goods and services, as well as speculation, constitutes a sin and oppression.

He noted that price inflation caused by the greed of merchants, the exploitation of people's needs, and the creation of monopolies contradicts the Creator's commandments. Islam permits trade, but insists on justice, mercy, and the maintenance of social equilibrium. Prices can only rise for objective reasons related to supply and demand, while greed and causing harm are strictly condemned," he added.

The mufti also cited a hadith that states: "Whoever interferes with the prices of Muslims and raises them, Allah obliges him to be cast into hell" (Bayhaqi).

According to him, rising prices negatively affect society, exacerbating the plight of the poor, increasing social inequality, and generating discontent. It is important for merchants, the state, and consumers in the Muslim community to recognize their responsibility before Allah. Only in this case can the market become blessed, and society stable," he concluded.
