In 2025, Kazakhstan is taking significant steps towards modernizing its cultural heritage preservation system, including expanding the UNESCO World Heritage list and implementing digital technologies.

The country is actively working on including new elements into the representative list of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage, such as "Salburun", "Alpamys Batyr's Epic", "Keste-syuzanne", "Traditional Felt Making", and "Taqiya", in collaboration with other interested states.

Currently, two dossiers are under review by the UNESCO World Heritage Centre: "Rock Underground Mosques of the Mangistau Oasis" and "The Great Silk Road: Fergana-Syrdarya Corridor".

Recently, an international symposium titled "The Heritage of Yasawi in the Dialogue of Times and Cultures" was held in Turkestan, gathering around a hundred scholars from 15 countries. This forum, initiated by the President of the Republic, strengthened Turkestan's status as a scientific center of the Turkic world.

Scientific restoration work is currently underway at the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, which allows for the preservation and renewal of key architectural elements of this World Heritage site.

Kazakhstan is implementing electronic ticketing systems for the first time in mausoleums such as H. A. Yasawi, Aisha-Bibi, Karakhan, Arystanbab, as well as in the territory of ancient Otrar. As part of this innovation, self-service terminals, electronic ticket sales systems, turnstiles, and artificial intelligence video cameras will be installed.

One of the significant achievements is the creation of the E-museum portal, which forms a unified digital space for the country's museums. The project, implemented in accordance with the President's directives, unites the collections of 285 museums in Kazakhstan and provides digital access to over 66,000 exhibits, including three-dimensional models and virtual tours, which contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage and its promotion on the international stage.

In addition, an important project of this year is the "E-cinema" system, which ensures centralized accounting of film distribution. Currently, 68 cinemas are connected to it, through which 20,310 tickets have been sold. This initiative increases the transparency of the industry and provides opportunities for analyzing the effectiveness of national cinema.

Cultural institutions are also transitioning to the use of electronic tickets and modern access control systems, significantly improving service quality and allowing for precise tracking of attendance statistics.
