6.7 million soms allocated for satellite mapping of agricultural crops

The tender for satellite mapping services of agricultural crops, which includes the use of remote sensing (RS) and training of specialists, has been announced by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

According to information posted on the government procurement portal, 6 million 791.9 thousand soms are planned to be spent on these purposes.

Suppliers can submit their proposals until December 31, 2025.

The main goal of this project is to create a high-tech system for operational monitoring of agricultural lands based on RS data. This will help improve the accuracy of information on crops, the condition of crops, yield prediction, and support decision-making in the agro-industrial complex of Kyrgyzstan.

The tender winner must provide multispectral satellite images covering all agricultural lands in the country.

It was previously reported that Kyrgyzstan is actively implementing satellite technologies in the agricultural sector, using images to monitor five different agricultural crops.
