Most of China's New Investment Projects in the Eurasian Region Are Concentrated in Central Asian Countries

- According to the information presented in the EDB report for 2025, the majority of new Chinese investments in the Eurasian region are directed towards Central Asian countries.

In the first half of 2025, China initiated 25 new projects with total investments amounting to $873 million. The total number of projects increased from 171 in 2023 to 213 by mid-2025.

“It is interesting to note that all new investment projects in 2025 were implemented exclusively in Central Asia (23 projects) and in Azerbaijan (2 projects), highlighting China's growing interest in this region,” the EDB analysts point out.
