In various corners of Kyrgyzstan, preparations for the celebration of the New Year 2026 are actively ongoing, with the installation of Christmas trees and decorative elements in the central squares of cities and regions across the country.

On December 15, in Bishkek, the lighting of the main Christmas tree took place in Ala-Too Square. This year, its height is 35 meters, and it is adorned with approximately 7,000 ornaments.
In Osh, on December 14, a ceremonial lighting of the tree lights was held in the main square. The height of the Christmas tree is about 29-30 meters, and the square is decorated with LED installations and ornaments.
In Kara-Balta, at the square near the Lenin Cultural House, the installation of a 16-meter Christmas tree has been completed, which will be the central element of the New Year celebrations.
This tree is decorated with more than 1,500 Christmas ornaments and garlands.
It is expected that the lights of the tree will be turned on on December 23 at 5:00 PM.
In Talas, a Christmas tree is being installed.
670,000 soms from the local budget have been allocated for its decoration.
The tree, which is 24 meters tall with a star on top, was purchased last year.
In Tokmok, Chui region, a tree made of car tires was installed.
It is located on the territory of a tire manufacturing plant.

In Uzgen, a Christmas tree has been installed that is 3 meters taller than last year.
This year's tree is 16 meters tall and has been installed in Dostuk Park. 200,000 soms were spent on its installation, and the lights will be turned on at the end of this week.
In Batken, the main Christmas tree of the region, which is 20 meters tall, has been installed.
Its lights will be turned on on December 17 at 6:00 PM as part of the festive program. This year, 360,500 soms have been allocated for New Year events in Batken. These funds will be used for decorating the tree, organizing a concert program, and holding various competitions.
In Razak, Batken region, a 12-meter Christmas tree has been installed.
Its lights will be turned on on December 15 in the central square of the city of Razak. Authorities allocated 200,000 soms for organizing New Year events.
