In the Sokuluk district of the Chui region, on the Bishkek–Kara-Balta highway, the driver of a KamAZ truck timely honked the horn, which helped avoid a traffic accident involving a pedestrian.

According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred on December 27 at 6:31 AM.

Witnesses report that at the turn entering Shopokov, the red traffic light turned on, and vehicles stopped at the traffic light. However, a passenger car went around the stationary KamAZ and, moving at a low speed, crossed the intersection on a red light. At that moment, a pedestrian was crossing the road at the designated crosswalk.

The KamAZ driver, noticing the dangerous situation, quickly honked the horn, allowing the pedestrian to stop in time and avoid a collision. Additionally, witnesses noted that immediately after this, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passed through the red light.

The circumstances of the incident are currently being clarified.
