In the At-Bashinsky district of the Naryn region, local residents are expressing concern over the increasing population of jackals.

According to the villagers, these wild predators are becoming frequent visitors in areas such as Damba, Acha-Kaiyndy, Bash-Kaiyndy, and near the livestock market, posing a threat not only to people but also to their livestock.

The first deputy akim of the district, Maksat Kadyrkulov, reported that hunters are entitled to a reward of 3,000 soms for each jackal shot, which is paid from the state budget.

Jackals are known for their aggressiveness and can pose a serious danger. The increase in their numbers raises safety concerns among the local population. Currently, hunters are being mobilized to carry out necessary measures in specific areas.

Authorities have stated that they will respond promptly to reports regarding the presence of jackals. Residents are urged to be vigilant and to immediately report any threats to the appropriate services.
