In the village of Chiy-Talaa, which is part of the rural district of Üch-Döbö-Alai in the Alai region of the Osh province, local residents have expressed their protest against the name of the kindergarten.

The kindergarten, which opened its doors on August 31, 2025, was named No. 41 "Akpari Ene." This name has become a subject of controversy, as it belongs to a living person who is not associated with the education sector. The villagers emphasized that the name was given in honor of the mother of the sponsor who supported the construction of the kindergarten.

Local residents believe that the institution should be given a more neutral name — "Chiy-Talaa." Mustafa Zhanibekov, the head of the village council of the Üch-Döbö-Alai rural district, stated that this issue had already been raised earlier. "At the moment, the kindergarten is operational. The decision on the name was made by the village council before my appointment. If there is a meeting of the village council, we will propose to rename it," he noted.

In turn, Bolot Tairov, the head of the Alai district education department, explained that the issue of changing the name of the kindergarten falls under the jurisdiction of the village council and the deputies of the village council. "To resolve this issue, the village council must adopt the appropriate resolution. We have already sent official letters and are keeping the situation under control. According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, educational institutions can only be named after deserving figures. The name of a living person can only be used five years after their death," he added.

The kindergarten accommodates 50 children, but currently, 87 are enrolled.
