Nurzaman Almazbekov, a fourth grader from the village of Kara-Kul in the Osh region, became a local star after being received by President Sadyr Japarov.
Nurzaman gained widespread recognition thanks to a video in which he, trudging through nearly a meter of snow, makes his way to school in the village of Koo-Chaty. This video caught the attention of the head of state, who then invited the boy to a New Year's event at the presidential office.
