In the village of Ivanovka, located in the Issyk-Ata district of the Chui region, one of the first tractors produced in the Soviet Union is still preserved as a monument — the "Universal VTZ" tractor, said Tolgonai Berdibek kyzy, a librarian at Library No. 13 in the village of Ivanovka, Ken-Bulun Aiyl Aimak, to a correspondent from Turmush.

“I will share information from a newspaper that was published back in the Soviet era, when there was a collective farm named after Lenin here.

It was written as follows:

‘On the eve of the 60th anniversary of the formation of the USSR, the "Universal" tractor was raised on a pedestal near the headquarters of the Lenin collective farm in the Issyk-Ata district. Two "K-700" tractors and a column of farm workers escorted it to its permanent resting place.

The fate of this exhibition tractor is interesting. In 1933, the first tractor arrived in Ivanovka. To see the "devil's cart," residents of nearby villages and nomadic Kyrgyz descended from the mountains. At the wheel was a young tractor driver, Sasha Morozov, who wore large glasses and elbow-length gloves. At that time, he became one of the most famous people in the district.

This tractor worked in the collective farm for thirty-five years. Despite the emergence of powerful machines like the ChTZ, DT, and "Belarus" trucks, the old tractor continued to serve the people. Due to the lack of spare parts, its permanent owner, Alexander Petrovich Morozov, tried to repair it in the workshop.

In 1968, the "Universal" was decommissioned. However, the collective farm's board decided to restore the tractor. Then came an exciting moment: Alexander Petrovich Morozov, making a familiar gesture, touched something in the carburetor, turned the water tap — and the tractor came to life! Morozov took the wheel and drove just as he did back in 1933. Until evening, the "Universal" drove around the village: every mechanic considered it an honor to ride it.’

Today, the Lenin collective farm is a large multi-sector enterprise. It has over 4,500 hectares of arable land, and the farms house 2,200 head of cattle, including about 1,000 cows, 12,000 sheep, pigs, horses, and poultry. The machine and tractor fleet consists of about 140 vehicles and tractors, as well as hundreds of agricultural machines of various purposes. The collective farm receives a high income annually, and its workers live in prosperity. It can be said that the path to such achievements began with the seemingly simple "Universal" tractor,” shared T. Berdibek kyzy.

Earlier, Turmush reported in which year this memorial tractor was installed.
