Hunters laid out all the predators they shot on the road in Kochkore

In the run-up to the New Year, hunters from the Kochkor district presented the commission with the skins of wolves and jackals that they managed to hunt.

According to the information received, during the hunting, 12 wolves and 30 jackals were killed. The skins of these animals were handed over to representatives of the state commission.

Commission specialists placed tags on the skins of the wolves and jackals, while the carcasses of the jackals were disposed of and sent to the animal burial site (bekkari).

This event was conducted with the aim of controlling the population of wild animals and increasing the safety of the local population.
In mid-January 2025, Turmush reported that in the Naryn region, the damage caused by predators to livestock over the year amounted to 23 million 139 thousand soms.

As a result of predator attacks, 64 heads of cattle, 368 horses, and 214 sheep and goats were killed. As part of special measures organized with the involvement of hunters, 103 wolves, 1 wolf pup, and 181 jackals were eliminated.

According to the government decree of Kyrgyzstan, a monetary reward is provided for the shooting of predatory animals: 6 thousand soms for one wolf, 1.5 thousand soms for a wolf pup, and 2 thousand soms for a jackal.

After submitting all the necessary documents, hunters receive a reward of 4800 soms for a wolf, 1600 soms for a jackal, and 1200 soms for a wolf pup, taking into account deductions for the Social Fund and income tax.
