A case of fraud related to gold items has been recorded in Batken.
According to the press service of the regional police department, a resident of the Batken district named A.U.A. reported a fraud incident to the local police station.
He stated that on March 19, 2025, a 27-year-old man named M.E.K., living in Batken, took 10 grams of gold from one of the local jewelry stores, which cost 97,000 soms. However, he has not returned the money to the owner to this day.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code ("Fraud"). As a result of operational search activities, the suspect was detained, and investigative actions are currently ongoing.
Additionally, during the investigation, other possible cases of fraud related to the activities of this individual are being checked.
