The suspect was detained in Cholpon-Ata
As a result of operational-search activities, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, S.U.E., was detained, who, under the guise of connections with President Sadyr Japarov and the head of the GKNB Kamchybek Tashiev, fraudulently took possession of vehicles. According to the press center of the GKNB, among the stolen items were a 2022 Toyota Tundra worth 65,000 US dollars and a 2011 Mercedes-Benz A-Class valued at 15,000 US dollars.
When the lawful owner attempted to reclaim his cars, S.U. refused and began to threaten physical harm, citing his connections with high-ranking officials. As proof of his claims, he even showed family photographs during one of the meetings.
Based on the facts of fraud, as provided for in part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, a criminal case was initiated against the suspect. On December 27, S.U. was arrested in Cholpon-Ata and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
