The State Security Service of Kyrgyzstan reported the detention of a citizen named S.U.E., who is accused of fraud related to the theft of two cars. He allegedly used personal connections with high-ranking officials in the country, including the president and the head of the GKNB, as a cover.
According to information from the GKNB, the man took possession of a 2022 Toyota Tundra worth $65,000 and a 2011 Mercedes-Benz A-Class valued at $15,000.
When the legitimate owner of the vehicles demanded their return, S.U. refused, threatening physical harm and citing his connections with the government leadership. During meetings, he displayed family photos of government officials, hinting at his influence in resolving various issues.
The case was initiated under Article 209, Part 4 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. On December 27, 2025, S.U. was detained in the city of Cholpon-Ata, located in the Issyk-Kul region, and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
Currently, investigative activities regarding this case are ongoing.
