Initially, it was reported that the fire broke out in the building of the Public Service Center (PSC), but it later became clear that the fire started in the cargo terminal.
The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that this building houses shops and organizations, including the PSC. Incorrect information spread on social media stating that the PSC was on fire. In reality, the fire originated in the cargo area, where goods from China are distributed. Firefighters managed to quickly contain the fire and prevent its spread to neighboring shops.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire was completely extinguished by 15:10.
To combat the fire, two teams from the city fire and rescue station No. 27 arrived at the scene at 13:51.
The area of the fire was 90 square meters.
As a result of the incident, no one was injured, and the causes of the fire are currently being investigated.
