According to the World Air Quality ranking of the largest cities in the world by air quality, Bishkek has been occupying one of the top spots on the list of the most polluted cities for the past 24 hours. As of the morning of January 15, the capital of Kyrgyzstan was recorded in second place.

In Bishkek, the air pollution level is rated as "very harmful," and the air quality index according to the website data is 214 (AQI). In particular, in the area where Moskovskaya Street intersects with Erkindik Boulevard, this figure reached 286 (AQI).
