The leaders of the anti-rating are Lahore in Pakistan with an AQI of 398 (considered life-threatening) and Cairo in Egypt with an AQI of 384.
Experts warn that such a high level of air pollution poses serious health risks, especially for vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, and individuals with chronic respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.
Residents are advised to limit their time outdoors and use protective masks whenever possible.
