The reason for this decision was the recent defeat to Rangers with a score of 3:1, in which the team was leading 1:0 at halftime. Currently, Celtic is in second place in the Scottish Premier League, trailing Hearts by six points and recently suffered a setback in the League Cup final, where they lost to St. Mirren.

Under the guidance of the 48-year-old French specialist, the team has achieved only two victories in eight matches, including a crushing 3:0 defeat to Roma in the Europa League.

Interim coach Martin O'Neill, who held the position before Nancy's appointment, demonstrated significantly better results, winning seven out of eight matches. There is a possibility that the club's management will return to O'Neill to improve the situation.

In addition to Nancy, his assistants – Kwame Ampadu, Jules Géguen, and Max Chalmé – as well as the director of football operations Paul Tisdale will also leave the club. The club expressed gratitude to Nancy for his work and wished him all the best in the future.
