The wealth of the 500 richest people in the world increased by a record $2.2 trillion
According to reports from Bloomberg, by 2025, the wealth of the 500 richest people on the planet increased by a record $2.2 trillion.
Of this growth, about 25% was accounted for by just eight individuals. Among them are Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Alphabet co-founder Larry Page, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, as reported in the publication.

The total wealth of billionaires reached $11.9 trillion. The largest capital increase in 2025 was recorded in the United States and Canada, amounting to $1.1 trillion.

The agency notes that the capital growth was "significantly accelerated" by Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. presidential election at the end of 2024. The figures were also influenced by the "euphoria over artificial intelligence," which continued to support the stocks of the largest American companies.
