According to a recent survey by the YouGov sociological institute, only 31% of Americans with annual incomes below $50,000 view Donald Trump's presidency positively. In turn, 65% of respondents express dissatisfaction with his policies, as reported by DW.

In contrast, among more affluent citizens earning over $100,000 a year, Trump's approval rating is higher: 40% of them view his actions positively, while 51% hold a negative opinion.

As reported by Newsweek, one of the main reasons for Trump's declining popularity is the housing affordability crisis in the country. This issue could have a significant impact on the Republican Party's chances in the 2026 elections, as well as affect the "second half" of Trump's presidential term.

In April, the president's approval rating, following the first 100 days of his new presidency, was the lowest in the past 80 years—only 55%. A joint survey by Ipsos, ABC News, and The Washington Post showed that 67% of respondents are dissatisfied with Trump's actions during the stock market downturn, 64% did not support the imposition of tariffs on imports, and 61% expressed dissatisfaction with U.S. foreign policy.
