The Olympic football team of Kyrgyzstan for players under 23 years old has successfully arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the final stage of the U-23 Asian Cup 2026, which will begin on January 6.
Sixteen of the best national teams from Asia will compete in this continental championship. For the Kyrgyzstan team, this will be a historic debut in the tournament, as the team secured a qualifying spot in September 2025 under the guidance of head coach Edmar Lacerda.
According to the results of the draw, Kyrgyzstan has been placed in Group A, where its opponents will be the teams from Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, and Jordan.
