
The announcement of this title took place at the Olympic Ball held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
Aiperi was recognized as the best among women in Olympic disciplines and became the only athlete from the country to finish the year at the top of the world ranking of United World Wrestling (UWW).
Throughout 2025, she managed to participate in five international competitions, where she won medals in each of them. Her collection includes gold medals from the Asian Championship in Jordan and the Islamic Games in Saudi Arabia, as well as silver from the World Championship in Serbia and a ranking tournament in Albania. Additionally, she won a bronze medal at an international tournament in Hungary.
Other contenders for the title of best athlete included Meerim Jumanaazanova and Gulnur Tashtanbekova (wrestling), Ainuska Kalil kyzy (athletics), and Angelina Blindul (triathlon).
The best male athlete of the year was boxer Omar Livaza.
