At the Olympic Ball in Bishkek, the names of the best athletes of Kyrgyzstan for 2025 were announced. In this honorable list were Aiperi Medet kyzy and Omar Livaza.
Aiperi Medet kyzy ranked first in the world ranking of United World Wrestling (UWW) this year, finishing 2025 on a high note.
The athlete participated in five significant tournaments, where she won five medals. Her achievements include victory at the Asian Championship in Jordan and the Islamic Games in Saudi Arabia, as well as silver medals at the World Championship in Serbia and a ranking tournament in Albania. A bronze medal was earned at an international tournament in Hungary.
Among men in the Olympic sports category, the winner was boxer Omar Livaza.
He secured second place at the IBA World Championship and won the Asian Championship (U-22) this year.
Livaza made history by becoming the first boxer from Kyrgyzstan to reach the finals of the adult World Championship.
The Coach of the Year was recognized as Azat Mirakhimov.
Since 2024, he has been leading the national team of Kyrgyzstan in freestyle wrestling. Under his guidance, athletes Ernazar Akmataliev and Orozobek Toktomambetov achieved significant success, winning gold and silver respectively at the Asian Championship.
