This tournament features youth teams under 23 years old
The Kyrgyz U-23 team has landed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the final stage of the U-23 Asian Cup 2026.
It should be noted that this continental tournament will start on January 6 and will host the 16 best national teams in Asia. For the first time in its history, thanks to coach Edmar Lacerda, the Kyrgyzstan U-23 team qualified for the Asian Cup in this age category in September 2025.
The Kyrgyz team is in Group A, where it will compete against the teams from Vietnam, Jordan, and the tournament hosts — Saudi Arabia.
The schedule for Group A matches of the U-23 Asian Cup 2026 in Bishkek time:
1st round — January 6, 2026 22:00 — Saudi Arabia – Kyrgyz Republic (Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium, Jeddah)
2nd round — January 9, 2026 20:00 — Kyrgyz Republic – Vietnam (King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Jeddah)
3rd round — January 12, 2026 22:30 — Jordan – Kyrgyz Republic (King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Jeddah)
The opening match of the U-23 Asian Cup 2026 will be between the Kyrgyz team and the tournament hosts — the Saudi Arabian team.
