The Volleyball Federation of Kyrgyzstan is summarizing the results of 2025, highlighting key events of the season.

The publication Sport АКИpress invites you to review these results and share your thoughts.

The most significant achievement was the first participation of Kyrgyz volleyball in world championships, not in the qualifying rounds, but in the final tournament.

This happened thanks to the youth national team (U-21) in beach volleyball among girls. The pair of Razy Rasulbek kyzy and Ayturgan Aitbekova actively participated throughout the year in the stages of the Asian and world tours, which involved 2066 teams.

The Kyrgyz women successfully climbed in the world rankings and qualified for the World Championship, which took place in October in Puebla (Mexico), where 48 top teams competed.

Rasulbek kyzy and Aitbekova became the first Kyrgyz women to win at world championships and reached the playoffs, finishing in 17th place overall. Congratulations on your debut at the world level!
At the zonal level, Kyrgyzstan also achieved significant success: the women's national team (U-19) went to the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) championship in Sri Lanka and took first place.

At a similar tournament in Tashkent, the adult women's team won a bronze medal, finishing in 3rd place. This success allowed the Kyrgyz women to rise to 62nd place in the world rankings and 10th among Asian countries.

Moreover, due to their high ranking, the women's national team will participate in the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Nations Cup, which will be held in the summer in the Philippines. This will be the first experience for Kyrgyz women at this level.

The men's team "Bishkek" also debuted in the zonal CAVA Champions League, where they finished 2nd in the tournament in the Maldives, allowing the team to rise to 68th place in the world rankings and 15th in Asia.

The successes of both teams create good prospects for participation in the Asian Games scheduled for 2026 in Japan. The men's team has already represented the country at the games in 2018 in Indonesia, while this will be a debut for the women.

According to the Volleyball Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, both teams have chances to compete in the tournament in Japan.

In 2025, the champions of Kyrgyzstan were the teams "Kara-Suu" among men and "Dordoy" among women.

Within the framework of the School League, numerous competitions were held, with 1540 teams participating.

Additionally, over 1000 teams took part in the youth league organized by the Volleyball Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Regular tournaments are also held in the Mothers' League and the Akyin League, where teams composed of players over 60 years old participate.

In December, three friendly matches organized by the Kyrgyz Volleyball League took place at the new "Zhashtyk Arena" in Bishkek. Over 3000 spectators witnessed matches between Kara-Suu and Suzak, Youth and Veterans, as well as the El Clasico of Kyrgyz volleyball between Nookat and Aksy.
