- On February 25, the fourth meeting of the Kyrgyz-British Business Council (KBBC) took place in London, attended by about 60 participants representing government bodies, businesses, and international organizations. The event was timed to coincide with the Foreign Ministers' Summit of the "Central Asia - United Kingdom" format (C5+1).

From the Kyrgyz side, high-ranking officials participated in the meeting, including Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev, Chairman of the National Bank Melis Turgunbaev, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Mederbek Tumanov, and Deputy Minister of Finance Umutjan Amanbaev.

On the British side, the event featured the trade representative of the UK Prime Minister for Azerbaijan and Central Asia, member of the House of Lords Lord John Elderdice, as well as the Managing Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for Central Asia and Mongolia Hussein Ozhan.

The meeting was moderated by the co-chairman of the KBBC and Executive Director of the International Business Council Askar Sydykov.

During the meeting, presentations were made by companies such as Boston Consulting Group (BCG), United Concrete Canvas — a manufacturer of innovative cement materials for irrigation, Valor Carbon, which focuses on carbon financing and climate projects, Oppenheimer Europe Ltd., offering financial services in corporate finance and strategic research, as well as JSC "Eldik Bank," one of the three largest credit institutions in Kyrgyzstan.

Representatives from well-known global banks such as Citibank and Societe Generale, as well as companies Alvarez & Marsal and EY (London), were also present at the event. Among the participants were representatives from the West London Chamber of Commerce, the global mining company Eurasia Critical Minerals, the clean energy corporation Better Earth Limited, and AI Capital, specializing in financing startups in the field of artificial intelligence.

The discussion focused on issues of cooperation in critical minerals, the development of the financial market, the expansion of banking ties, and the use of London as one of the leading financial centers for attracting investments and accessing international markets.

Askar Sydykov emphasized the positive impact of the Council on trade and economic relations between Kyrgyzstan and the United Kingdom, as well as on attracting investments into the Kyrgyz economy.
