In May 2025, the first flight of the Boeing 737-800 from the well-known American airline United Airlines to Mongolia took place.
According to MiddleAsianNews, "the Ambassador of Mongolia in Washington, Batbayar Olziidelger, met with the CEO of United Airlines, Scott Kirby, on February 10, 2026."
During the meeting, both regional and international issues related to aviation were discussed, as well as deepening cooperation between Mongolia and the USA in this field.
The participants of the meeting discussed events in the region and beyond, as well as new trends in aviation. They noted that the launch of regular flights by United to Ulaanbaatar is a significant step towards strengthening the strategic partnership between Mongolia and the USA, considering further avenues for cooperation.
