













As a result of operational measures, seven employees of the weight and dimension control on the Bishkek-Osh highway were detained for regularly extorting bribes from drivers. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic confirmed this information.
According to law enforcement data, the weight and dimension control employees received illegal payments from drivers ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 soms for allowing trucks that exceeded the permissible weight to pass without registering violations. Preliminary data indicates that between 150 and 200 trucks passed through the specified posts daily.
Based on this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 337 "Abuse of Official Position" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of the conducted operational-investigative measures, employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained the workers of the weight and dimension control post while receiving illegal money. The case involves citizens A.Z. born in 1991, S.U. born in 1981, A.A. born in 1998, A.R. born in 1994, M.M. born in 1979, T.T. born in 1973, and A.B. born in 1994, for whom a preventive measure of arrest has been chosen.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
