According to the investigation, in 2023, citizens S.A. and J.R. imported a Lexus RX 330 from Japan, which they declared as spare parts. To carry out the illegal registration and subsequent sale, they acquired a registration certificate for a previously damaged vehicle of the same make, owned by citizen N.I., and also forged notarial documents.
The investigation established that the suspects conspired with a specialist from the State Enterprise UAAA J.B.. Based on the forged documents and for a reward of $1,100, changes were made to the information database, including the substitution of VIN codes. As a result, the vehicle was illegally registered and sold to an unsuspecting buyer for $7,000.
Additionally, a scheme for evading customs payments was uncovered, causing damage to the state, the extent of which is currently being determined.
A criminal prosecution has been initiated in this case under Article 337 (abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the specialist from the State Enterprise UAAA J.B. and citizen J.R. have been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
