On January 15, the "Agro Caravan - 2026" fair took place at the Babur State Academic Musical and Drama Theater in Osh.
According to the regional representative office, this event was organized to support agriculture and enhance the qualifications of farmers. This became possible thanks to the "Partnership in Irrigation in the Fergana Valley" (FVIPP) project.
The fair was attended by the First Deputy Governor of Osh Region, Iliyas Tashbaev, the Regional Director of Helvetas in Central Asia, Andrew Wilson, as well as numerous entrepreneurs and farmers.
Speaking at the event, Iliyas Tashbaev noted that the fair serves not only as an exhibition but also as a platform for exchanging experiences, expanding knowledge, and seeking new opportunities for agricultural growth. He added that the main goal of "Agro Caravan - 2026" is to familiarize farmers with modern irrigation systems, provide information about financial products, and facilitate direct connections between producers, financial organizations, consultants, and companies.
It is also reported that by the end of 2025, modern irrigation systems were implemented in the region on an area of over 400 hectares, and by the end of 2026, this figure is planned to increase to 600 hectares.
