Representatives of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Industry have expressed concerns about a potential water shortage for irrigation during the 2026 growing season.

According to the agency's information, climate change and reduced precipitation may trigger a lack of water resources in various regions of the country. Farmers are strongly advised to think in advance about the rational use of available water.

The Ministry recommends implementing modern water-saving technologies, such as drip and sprinkler irrigation, as well as selecting crops that require less moisture and using drought-resistant seed varieties.

The agency added that the distribution of irrigation water during watering will be conducted fairly and balanced. Farmers are encouraged to seek additional information from local agricultural offices.
