Results of the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2025: numbers and facts


The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic has presented the results for 2025. The past year was marked by active development of cooperatives, modernization of infrastructure, and the introduction of innovative technologies in the agricultural sector.

As for processing and logistics, there are currently 483 processing enterprises successfully operating in the republic, of which 39 were opened in 2025. Small businesses are represented by 5,200 enterprises, 61 of which were established this year. The country's logistics include:

40 trade and logistics centers; 264 vegetable storage facilities; 115 modern slaughter points.

Product quality has become a priority: 56 enterprises in the sector have implemented international safety standards.

Regarding cooperation and technical equipment, the unification of farmers continues in rural areas. Currently, there are 821 agricultural cooperatives operating, including 68 new associations.

In 2025, significant support was provided to farmers in the area of mechanization. Under the leasing program, 9,079 units of agricultural machinery were transferred for a record amount of 25.2 billion soms. Technical maintenance is carried out by 186 machine and tractor stations (MTS) of various forms of ownership.

In terms of social impact, the implementation of government initiatives has ensured stable employment for 31,276 people in this sector. In the field of agricultural product processing, 1,264 new jobs were created just in 2025.

Experts emphasize that 2025 laid the foundation for technological sovereignty and sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex of Kyrgyzstan.
