The Chairman of the Government, Adylbek Kasymaliev, has signed a new Action Plan that will be in effect until 2030.
This document is part of the implementation of the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic, approved by presidential decree, and includes about 900 activities aimed at the socio-economic development of the country. Among the set goals are achieving an average monthly growth of real GDP at 8 percent, increasing the gross domestic product to $30 billion, and raising GDP per capita to $4,500. The plan also envisions that Kyrgyzstan will enter the top 30 countries with the best performance in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and improve its position in the Human Development Index by 10 points.
Within the framework of the National Program, four key areas have been identified: industrialization, the creation of a regional hub, the development of agriculture and tourism, and the transition to green energy.
In the field of industrialization, the plan includes the establishment of a national fund, the launch of pilot industrial clusters, the development of technoparks and innovation centers, as well as the introduction of preferential lending for companies that invest in energy-efficient technologies.
The "regional hub" direction includes several major infrastructure projects:
modernization of roads and border crossing points "Torugart" and "Irkeshtam";
construction of the international highway Barskoon — Uch-Turfan — Aksu;
completion of the railway project China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan;
creation of new logistics and trade-industrial complexes.
As for agriculture and tourism, the plan includes the development of full-cycle enterprises in livestock, the expansion of organic farming, the construction of agro-logistics centers, the digitalization of water resource management, and the development of tourism clusters, including eco-tourism, medical, and sports tourism.
A separate focus is on green energy, which includes projects for the construction and commissioning of large and small hydropower plants, the development of energy cascades, as well as the modernization of power transmission lines and substations.
The government emphasized that the implementation of this plan will achieve sustainable economic growth, improve the quality of life for the population, and reach strategic goals by 2030.
