Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, transferred 44 official vehicles to the Ministry of Agriculture. According to information provided by the Cabinet of Ministers, the total cost of the transferred vehicles amounted to 92.6 million soms. During the transfer ceremony, Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of the agricultural sector for the country's economy, highlighting its role as the main driver of development. He noted that agriculture contributes to the growth of industrial and processing sectors.

“Currently, there are 425 processing enterprises operating in Kyrgyzstan, both seasonal and year-round. By the president's directive, hundreds of new productions are opened every year. This year, 119 new enterprises were launched, more than half of which are related to agriculture and its processing,” he added.

Kasymaliev also reported on the priorities for modernizing the irrigation sector, indicating that in 2024, 1 billion soms will be allocated for these purposes, and in 2025, funding will increase to 1.7 billion soms. As part of these activities, work is being carried out on cleaning, constructing, concreting, and strengthening channels, as well as creating reservoirs for regulating water resources.

Additionally, in 2024-2025, the Ministry of Agriculture plans to purchase 286 units of special equipment for water management services.

It is also worth noting that in Bishkek, food fairs are being held at the Turdakun Usubaliev Square and in the "Asanbay" microdistrict, offering prices below market rates. Similar events will be organized in all regions of the country on weekends and will continue until the summer season begins.
