From December 27 to 31, an agricultural fair is taking place at the Turdakun Usubaliev Square in Bishkek. As part of the event, the chairman of the cabinet of ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, got acquainted with the prices of products, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan.
In his address, he emphasized the importance of such events, which help reduce the number of intermediaries between producers and consumers.
“Dear participants of the fair, on behalf of the cabinet of ministers, I congratulate you on the upcoming New Year. Our capital regularly holds such agricultural fairs every week. The initiative of Bakyt Torobaev benefits both farmers and consumers, allowing them to buy products directly and at more affordable prices. Farmers offer their products below market prices, while enterprises sell at factory prices. This approach creates a direct link between the producer and the buyer, eliminating intermediaries and curbing the rise in prices for essential food products,” noted Adylbek Kasymaliev.
Additionally, he provided examples of prices for meat products, which at the fair do not exceed the established maximums. For instance, the price of beef is up to 680 soms per kilogram, while lamb is up to 690 soms.
The head of the cabinet also assured that fairs will continue next year. It should be noted that similar agricultural fairs are also held in other regions of the country.
