The total cost of the transferred vehicles amounts to 92.6 million soms.
“The vehicles purchased with state funds will be transferred to the Water Resources Service and the Fisheries Department under the ministry,” the press release clarified.
During the handover ceremony, Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of the agricultural sector, which occupies a key position in the country's economy and serves as the main driver of its development, according to the state policy implemented under the leadership of the president.
“The agricultural sector is the foundation for industrial growth. There are 425 processing enterprises in Kyrgyzstan, both seasonal and year-round. By the president's directive, hundreds of new enterprises are opened annually. This year, 119 new enterprises were launched, more than half (53%) of which are related to agriculture and processing,” Kasymaliev added.
He also highlighted the importance of modernizing and technically strengthening the irrigation sector of Kyrgyzstan's water management.
“If in 2024, 1 billion soms were planned for irrigation, then in 2025 this amount increased to 1.7 billion soms. Active work is underway to clean, construct, and strengthen channels, as well as to create daily and decadal regulation basins. To improve the operation of all water management services of the Ministry of Agriculture in 2024-2025, 286 units of special equipment will be purchased,” the Chairman of the Cabinet noted.
Additionally, the ministry announced the holding of a food product fair at the T. Usubaliev Square and in the Asanbay microdistrict in Bishkek, where goods are offered at prices below market rates. Such fairs will take place weekly in all regions of the country until the summer season begins.
