The press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry reports that in 2025, 63 new agricultural enterprises were opened in Kyrgyzstan.
These enterprises are aimed at processing agricultural products and developing infrastructure in the fields of trade and logistics. They include trade and logistics centers, as well as enterprises engaged in the processing of grains, fruits, vegetables, berries, as well as the production of milk, meat, fish, wool, and vegetable oil. Facilities for organic production have also been opened. As a result of these initiatives, 2,707 new jobs have been created.
According to statistics, the share of the food industry in the total production volume of the country was 17.4 percent from January to November of last year.
The agro-industrial complex produced food products worth a total of 94.2 billion soms.
In 2026, the opening of another 75 processing enterprises is planned.
